Julianne Moore

Julie Anne Smith, A.K.A. Julianne Moor is a Hollywood actor and writer that has won critical acclaim for her talent. Sagittarius is her birth name, and she was born in North Carolina on 3 December 1960. She's the oldest of three siblings who were born in the home of Peter Moore Smith, a paratrooper as well as Anne psychologist. She is of English and Scottish heritage. Moore struggled because her family was constantly relocated due to their dad's work. The family moved to Germany Moore went to Frankfurt American High School where she was first a part of performances. She furthered her education at Boston University, graduating in 1983 with an B.F.A. in Theater. After graduation, Moore began her off-Broadway career in New York. In 1985 she appeared on stage as a character in The Edge of Night. The following year, she played in the roles of Frannie as well as Sabrina Hughes in As the World Turns, which was her break. It was on from 1988 to the present and was awarded a Daytime Emmy Award for her performance. In 1990 she debuted in cinema in the form of Tales from the Darkside: The Movie. Short Cuts (1993), 3 Women (1997), and both were produced by Robert Altman. The first was critically-acclaimed and Moore was nominated for several awards for it. Moore received her first film role as the lead role for the film Safe (1996). The casting of Steven Spielberg's Moore as the lead in Jurassic Park: The Lost World which was one of the highest grossing films from 1997, was a significant moment in Moore's career. The year 1999 was the first time she won the SAG award for her work in Magnolia. She was in co-starring roles with Nicole Kidman, Meryl Streep and others for The Hours, which was nominated nine times for Academy Awards. Moore's other movies include The Forgotten 2004 Freedomland 2006. Shelter (2010), etc. In 2014, she was in Non-Stop. Moore was a regular on many television and film shows. Moore's most recent appearance as a leading actress is In When You Finish saving the World (2022). Her acting career in Hollywood is well established and she's also a published children's novelist. She published her first book Freckleface Strawberry in 2007 and it became a N.Y.T. best-seller resulting in it being made into a novel and musical. The author also released her book My Mom's a Foreigner in the year 2013. Moore is an accomplished actor and writer. Her personal life, thus, is in the domain of public record. She divorced John Robin in 1995. Bart Freundlich is the father of two children. Moore's main focus is her friends, family and her work.
